Solar Electricity Rebates and Feed In Tariffs for Australian states
Australia has some of the brightest, sunniest and longest days in the world resulting in massive potential for Australian households to reduce our environmental impact and use environmentally friendly resources to assist in energy production.
One of these renewable resources is solar power.
Over the past year we have seen massive advancements with the encouragement for Australians to harness the sun’s power and install home solar power systems.
Having a solar power system will enable you to;
- Harness the suns power and produce your own electricity to run your every day appliances
- Have a grid connected system that allows you to feed the electricity your system creates back into the grid
- Be rewarded financially for ever kWh you feed back into the electricity grid
- Have peace of mind you are assisting in reducing yours and Australia’s environment impact
- Be rewarded from the government for taking action and receive a government rebate on your solar installation
What are the feed in tariffs for my state?
Each Australian state has a different stance on feed in tariffs. In states such as New South Wales, Victoria, ACT and Queensland the government supports the feed in tariff scheme and offers premium feed in tariff rates through various electricity suppliers.
In other states however you may only be able to receive the standard peak rate of electricity as a rebate.
