Alert Jackgreen Customers - What to do next

This notice is for all customers who hold an electricity account with Jackgreen Energy.
As of the 18th of December the Australian Energy Market Operator Limited (AEMO) has issued a suspension notice to Jackgreen preventing them from trading as an electricity retailer. Jackgreen has since entered voluntary administration.
If you are a current customer of Jackgreen please read the guide below to ensure you understand your rights.
What to do next:
- Firstly do not panic. The Electricity Industry Act 2000 protects customers by facilitating their transfer to a new retailer. You will not be disconnected or without power.
- You will receive notification from your Retailer of Last Resort (ROLR), that will announce they are your new retailer.
- This notification will also offer you the choice to select another retailer of your choice.
- You will not be forced to be with the ROLR.
- You will then have up to three months to select a new retailer before you are transferred to you ROLR.
